It’s Week 9 of the college football season and that means we are back with our favorite parlay of the week. This bet includes a few favorites and a few underdogs to increase the odds. Let’s take a look at our top college football parlay among Sportsbookwire.com’s college football picks and predictions.

On any parlay, pushes combined with wins will result in the bet being reduced to the next lowest number of teams. Example: If you have a 6-team parlay with 5 wins and 1 tie, this becomes a 5-team parlay and the payout will be adjusted accordingly.
Leg 1: LSU -2 (-110) at Auburn
Our first bet features a fun SEC matchup between Tigers. Both teams have two losses on the season, but LSU has one of the best offenses in college football once again as it is averaging 42.0 points per game. Expect this to be a back-and-forth contest all day, but for LSU to win and cover this small spread.
Leg 2: Louisville (+135) vs. Virginia Tech
Our first upset pick of this parlay is taking Louisville at home. The Cardinals are 3.5-point underdogs despite both defenses not being very good. This will likely come down to the last possession or two, but given Louisville’s speed at receiver, look for the Cards to pull off the upset.

Leg 3: Baylor (+120) vs. TCU
Our second upset pick occurs in the Big 12 as the 1-2 Baylor Bears take on the 1-3 TCU Horned Frogs. Both teams aren’t playing great football right now, but Baylor’s defense has played much better than TCU. This is expected to be a low-scoring game, but look for the Bears to win at home by a touchdown or more in this contest.

Leg 4: Memphis (+200) at Cincinnati
The third and biggest upset in our parlay has Memphis beating No. 7 Cincinnati. The Bearcats are 4-0, but they have yet to face an offense like the Tigers. Memphis is averaging 38.8 points per game and are running the fourth-most plays (84) per game of any team in college football. Expect this to be a track meet with the Tigers offense scoring enough to pull off the upset.

Leg 5: Ohio State -10 (-115) over Penn State
The final game of our five-leg parlay includes a Big Ten showdown between Ohio State and Penn State. Coming off a brutal loss to Indiana last week, The Nittany Lions would love nothing more than to beat the Buckeyes in Happy Valley. However, they just don’t have the defense, specifically the linebackers, to slow down Buckeyes QB Justin Fields. Look for Ohio State to score into the 40s and for Ohio State to cover with ease in primetime.

What is a Parlay Bet?
A parlay is a sports bet in which you combine multiple individual bets. You must win the entire combination of bets or you lose. It’s that simple.
5 Team Parlay Odds
To choose a parlay wager, you first select at least two standard wagers you like. It could include bets against the spread, moneyline wagers, or the over/under. The more bets you make for your parlay, the more you can win. But there’s always a caveat. Once you start getting into four or higher team parlays, they become extremely difficult to win.
What makes parlays so difficult is you have to win 100% of your games. Whereas, with regular bets against the spread, for example, you only need to win around 60 percent to turn a profit. Parlays can sometimes be frustrating because you could conceivably run pretty hot and still lose. We’ve had some parlay losers where we actually won around 70 percent of the games.
5 Game Parlay Payout
But there’s certainly a ton of upside and some great benefits to betting parlays as opposed to just straight wagers. If all you’re doing is betting individual games against the spread, you’re limiting how much you can win. A $110 bet typically only pays a $100 profit, which really isn’t that great.
5 Team Parlay Bet
Sure, if you’re really good at betting the spread or over/unders and you get in enough volume, you’ll make a nice living. You still won’t make as much if you become skilled at betting parlays, however. The profit potential on parlays is much higher.
